Kamala hosteria isn't raely located in the village of montanita, but 15 minutes beach-walk distance from it. It is one of the quietest places ever... Just you and the beach.
Montanita is by far my favorite place in Ecuador, it's a microcosmos of several forces of nature that came together to create it beautiful place: the surfers, the locals, the tourist and the local surfers...
this city is known for its ability to make someone either stay there for longer then expected or go back there as soon as possible.
rules about montanita to remember:
1. no one has the time- if if someone has it it's irrelevant. montanita has its own time frame called: slow and easy. No one in rushing anywhere...
2. surf during the day.
3. go out partying during the evening. -
4. the village is made out of about 4 streets - there is a drinking street (i've been told it's called "la calle de la perdicion" - translated: the street of getting lost:
this street is made out of a long row of booze stands.- a great place start the night.
in addition to all these rules, montanita is a great place to relax, take a diving course and there are several quite locations which i highly recommend for couples or/and singles who want to relax and enjoy the beach.
